    An Interesting Thing Happened

I'm way ahead of you Todd! Lol. I want no part of it. That sealer will come off splotchy and look worse than it does now. Is there a way to tell if its efflorescence?

    An Interesting Thing Happened

Thank you guys. I don't think it's grout. I think it's cement (from 1970). I almost think the original color is grey but not sure til I go back. How do I know if it's efflorescence? Key scratch test? The acidic cleaner will take some of the sealer off? House goes on the market Sat so with...

    An Interesting Thing Happened

There's definitely a dealer but nothing for 12 years. I thought it may have been sealed over dirt as well but that wouldn't explain it all staying black.

    An Interesting Thing Happened

I Went to this amazing house in a very affluent area for some tile cleaning. When I looked at the tile, some of the joints were white, some grey and some black. The whole floor was shiny like it had been sealed. I was told, no cleaning or sealing had been done for 12 years. The floor was...

    Travertine Cleaning Help

Cleaned plenty of ceramic but not stone. Bidding a residential travertine cleaning and they asked to have it sealed, 500 sq. ft. The kitchen surface is much more dull than the entryway. I'm assuming groutmaster may dull the glossy finish in the entryway. Is this correct? Will a neutral...

    Banquet Chairs

A restaurant client has asked me to clean 100 of these chairs. I have limited experience in these chairs. Enough to know that they are pretty much a pain. I found the hard part is getting the edges and side pieces clean. I have a couple questions: 1. What is the best way to clean them...

@TedMcFadden are you saying mix stripper and acetone? If so, what ratio?

    How to strip Colorseal?

I cleaned some tile and grout for a customer and didn't realized it was color sealed. Its now flaking off like crazy and does not look good. I think the colorseal job was done well which was why I didn't notice it (lame excuse I know!). I used tilemaster, grout brush, spinner. I need to...

    Non Slip floor finish?

Guys the amount of grease here is significant in the traffic areas. A neutral cleaner isn't strong enough to do the job. I know the degreaser they use breaks down the finish and I've told them that but they also can't have the slipperyness of the grease. If I can figure it out it would be a...

    Non Slip floor finish?

Thanks Jose, I'm not familiar with that. I'll try and google it but here's the problem.... When I tried stripping it a while back, if the stripper solution was too strong (I tested different concentrations) because of the acid stain, the stripper altered the color of the acid stain making it...

    Non Slip floor finish?

They say they mop nightly and my guess is they use a heavy concentration of degreaser. Its probably too strong but 1. the grease prob still persists and 2. They probably don't rinse well enough. I'd like to turn this into a monthly account and I'd also like to find a less slippery finish for them.

    Non Slip floor finish?

I know the degreaser will break down the finish but its a Soul food restaurant and there is lots of grease. Neutral cleaner won't do it. They have some mats but not enough. Plus they can't mat the whole dining room.

    Non Slip floor finish?

I have a property manager client that operates a soul food restaurant. The grease they generate is pretty substantial. The dining room floor is acid stained concrete with floor finish over it. I "stripped" it a couple months ago (really more of a top scrub because I didn't want to damage the...
