I have had mine for 3 years now and it has never failed me. It does a great job of getting the water hot and the carpets clean. Would buy another one tommorrow if I needed another unit.

Glad to hear the good feedback on the 318. It sounds like a good machine to send technicians out with.

I know the pc blazer is comparable. What's your opinion of the two?

I started out with a 421 and it's has been stellar! A well built machine. I have that same spotting tool box. I like. Very little problems with my unit over three years. Total down time under 8 hrs after three years. I bought it with 825 hrs.

The starter on my 318 has been sticking lately, Im thinking from taking on so much heat, it starts up every time but if it runs for a long time and I turn it off it doesnt start back up unless i tap the starter with a pair of pliers. Not a major issue but kind od annoying.
