How do you guys feel about house call pro and all their strategies such as online booking, and all their review programs that have monthly fees?
I follow them on Facebook and so many of them guarantee this stuff is working for them. Along with home advisor and paided yelp but I'm very skeptical about it especially the emailing the customers to keep in touch. Most of my customers are older people that don't even have computers. Hard for me to understand how emailing would be worth the time.

I guess my main question would be does anyone else who uses them use their tactics (email, online booking, paid reviews) for advertising if so how well does it work for you?

Yes, Yes, Yes. We love HouseCall Pro. One great thing we utilize is their integration with NiceJob, a customer reviews/online reputation management tool. Basically, when we click "FINISH" on a job in HouseCall Pro, this triggers a text message from NiceJob to the customer asking them if they'd be willing to provide a review for us with Google or Yelp. Those reviews then automatically populate to our website-- so our website stays fresh, current...and customer reviews are the best marketing. You can check out our dynamic reviews page here if you want: http://www.bee-kleen.com/bee-kleen-reviews.html. You'll notice that we can also add pictures to those reviews after the fact, making it incredibly visual. This is just ONE way we use HouseCall Pro for marketing...and optimizing our website for SEO. We have tripled our online reviews since March.

We are in the same boat , most of our customers are older and don't use internet or text. We just use HC to track customer info.

I use online booking and email reminders. I love it and customers do too. I love waking up in the morning and seeing 2 jobs booked while I slept.
Been using an online software to book, customers click a link on my website that takes them to my scheduling software, but looking for something new. Can you customize how services are laid out? Right now I can only do packages, not like a "number of rooms" tab they click and then input the number, or number of stairs etc. Can you put a link on your webpage that customers can click and get transferred over to schedule?

I KNOW I can help your 30 years old company with REAL-Time scheduling. Call me at 630-444-2000. It sounds like you have discovered the flawed results of a form. Forms don't empower, or the airlines would use them! lol Consumers demand real-time; they have figured out forms and know how to use a phone. Call me and I will answer all your questions and show you a live example if you want. We sync with most CMS software... Steve
Since you said "but looking for something new"

@Travis Teague hey which package with housecall did you have to get to enable that booking? I just did a test one on your website to check it out, I like it very clean and simple.

are you able to only set mornings as being available? traffic here is a huge factor in job routes so we would only be able to offer mornings for online booking.

I got the simple plan. I had it a long time and they added online booking for me because I called and complained about bunch and they did not change me. I'm grandfathered in on a sweet deal so I am afraid to change anything now.

ya we are grandfathered in at the very first pricing.

does it allow you to set a minimum charge on the booking? are there any other features?

the very first question we ask when talking with a potential customer is whether its a single family home, or townhouse/condo/apt. Most townhomes and condos etc are not serviceable

HCP - Not that I am aware

FittleBug - See the other posted image... midway down . Also you can set "who" does what services and set minimums to different amounts based on categories . ie. you might want wood of marble to be a larger minimum.
and yes you can share that you only do home and not townhomes. very customizable.

@fittlebug looks pretty cool but how does it look on a website? do you have an image or example of what the widget looks like?

The one thing about the HCP booking is its very clean and simple looking (not service monsterish) also you can have nice pictures on the menu for customers to select from.

Yes pictures are helpful, we offer the ability at 3 stages of the online sales cycle to present pictures, text, html, and videos as well. Those stages are what we call the Category(carpet), Sub Category(area, room, sq feet, etc) and the Service Area - (clean, protect, etc) The ability to answer questions in the mind of the consumer along the sales cycle is very powerful and clients love the ability to embed videos of their work to bet the point across better. Here's one of a couple videos I made for the info box area...

By widget, I think you mean CTA's Call To ACtion buttons that get people over to your FittleBug. If you would like to see some live ones, here are some clients sites that you can review. FYI zip code 60174 will get you into their FBugs.
https://www.carpetprocleaners.com/ FYI - a very successful House Call Pro user
https://angeloscarpet.com/ - SMonster user
http://www.lasvegascarpetrepair.com/ SMonster user

Please note many clients of FittleBug do not use either SMonster or HCP. It has it's own internal calendar, but it is not considered a CMS.

We built FBug so that you could call things what you want, design things how you want and much more like built in promotions, referral social media tools and more.

Just call - See it all - and form your own opinion. I can share the program in about 15 minutes and you will quickly see the differences between our approach and others web forms. The differences are large and what consumers want. Ask for Steve 630-444-2000 . All the Best!

Well, I just met Billy. Billy wouldn't tell me who he was until I was ready to hang up. Billy sounded like he was from the south side of Chicago and spoke with a deep gangster accent. Imagine my shock when he finally admitted that he was from House Call Pro and calling from San Diego.
Now I know that you guys are talking about when you say you get bombarded with HCP telemarketers. They "MUST" change their tactics or they can never be thought of as the professional CMS they want to be. Honestly I wouldn't buy a candy bar from the guy Billy I spoke to on the phone today.... BTW they masked his phone number to appear local. UGH
Come on guys - Use a professional technique! I hope they understand that they are doing themselves no favors - They are to good of a software to bastardize the marketing.

I've searched out ton of CRM's and got hooked in to HCP. So far i'm in it for the long haul hoping they add components (i.e. better permissions for tech's, dispatchers; time allotments depending on the order item; commission payout). I would love to know the experience (good and bad) you are having with the online booking function.
