Question, I bought and installed a Northstar water heater into my van. I checked it for operation and it worked great. I had it not kick on and decided to change out the flow switch with the proper one based on my research of old threads here on the forum. After I switched out the new flow switch it seems to have made the thermostat work in reverse. It turns on when turning the dial the wrong way. I thought, man, I only changed the two wires, I'm going to swap them and see what happens. It should only be 12vdc and a ground. Switched them and still the same problem. What would have caused this thermostat to now work in reverse? I didn't change anything else.
