Yeah I have to agree ametek is sneaky
Say move parts from here to there and vice versa put a plastic shroud on that one in a metal shroud on that one and call it this that and the other thing

But I have confirmed from a very credible source did they do put out a 167 cfm's
what is being claimed for the zx is 135" lift (10HG ) and 167cfm

So they have somehow combined the characteristics of a one stage (high cfm ) with that of a two or three stage ( good lift ) ... and all this without an increase in current draw ...

Hmm ... if the above is true ... Ametek might as well scrap all single stage vac production now ... there is no need for those anymore based on what the zx can do .

They can cease producing the 8.4 ... just a waste of metal ... the zx clearly out performs it .

In fact all their 6.6 and 8.4 vacs are now redundant as the zx has the holy grail of super high airflow and 10hg

And mytee ( whom would be a larger customer for ametek than rotovac ) when they went to Ametek and asked for the best 6.6 they could make ... Ametek gave them their second best vac technology ...
Then turned round and gave one with 20% more power to rotovac ?

It doesnt add up to me ... unless is saw an Ametek data sheet showing 10hg and 167cfm at low current draw i will not believe it .

actually that is not what they are claiming on the lift??

they are saying the zx with 1 vac motor will get:
167 cfm
182" lift = 14" mercury

that would be revolutionary...
10" of lift would not be
as that would be less than
the mytee LX and(147" lift)
the Jaguar 8.4 vacs(146" lift)

thats what the hoopla is about high lift and high cfm...
testing is being done now....on the board.....
these are tests from drummer that has 3 of these zx's but he has them configured wacky?????

if all this is true 2 of the zx in parallel will give you the same power as a 36 TM blower????
0r around 300 cfm and 14" lift????

no ... they are claiming 20% more lift than a mytee lx ... so the mytee lx is listed at 113" and 20% more lift would be 135 "

while 135" is not a lot these days ... no motor that does amount of lift comes close to 167cfm ... especially at the same current draw as other similar motors

ok , so your telling me a motor is making 14hg and 167cfm but only drawing 14 amps
like i said if that was even near the truth ... ametek needs to stop production on all its other motors now as they are an inefficient waste of time .

Its all too good to be true ...

if you open the youtube video and read the four comments its clearly as the title says rotovac zx ... in comments the 15hg insereis is confirmed by another chap .... whos on here i believe

as for the new and old lx ... doubt it , the higher figure is too much for a one stage anyway , the whole reason they are used in series is because lift is generally low .

And at least they don't glue parts that are vacuum motors
It's pretty darn aggravating when you have to wait for glue to dry for your job to be finished

150/150/1.5 (150 CFM, 150" of lift and 1.5 GPM) at the end of the hose run will clean like crazy. If you are doing less reevaluate and fix it. Biggest fix IMO is removing dumbass cuffs that leak.... and replace them with 2" aluminum tube internal connectors in between vacuum sections (first 100' should be 1 continuous section). With ZERO leaks from the tank to the wand flow can win and recovery be Paramount, but what the hell do I know.
